ABSTRACT: Multi-objective optimization has become increasingly important, mainly because many real-world prob-lems are multi-objective in nature. The complexity of many of such problems has made necessary the use of metaheuristics. From them, the use of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms has become very popular mainly because of their ease of use and flexibility. In this chapter, we provide a short review of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms and some of their applications in reliability. In the final part of the chapter, some possible paths for future research in this area are also discussed.
